the only thing is that i'm after the flattest response i can get as cans are my only option for mixing purposes....my perception of treble isn't what it used to be, and i need to get something i trust for highs, and not emphasise them...same with bass
 
detail is good, bright and harsh is not good for me
 
of course, i may return to some of these ideas at some point....i hope to be able to buy them at some point

Well pre-modded, I would not call the brights harsh at all. After all three mods, I wouldn't call the brights harsh. Merely, adequate. My friends/family all seem to think that my appreciation for treble is odd. But if you aren't sure, I would say don't mod them. Stock, they are pretty natural. Just not quite as detailed as I like.
