Hey all,
I've been lurking around here quite a bit, trying to find a decent closed headphone model. I have a pair of Nuforce inner ear phones, but would like something bigger for when my ears get fatigued. Something comfortable at home or in a hotel room, but also able to be used on a plane and easy to throw around the neck for quick layovers and the like.
For the inevitable music question, I tend to listen to Pearl Jam, The National, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, etc. Hopefully will give a good idea of what i'm looking for. When I'm home they may be hooked up to the laptop or stereo receiver, but on the road it will be an iPhone. And I'd prefer nothing that requires an amp.
I've seen the M50 and HD25 referenced, and apparently at one time they were much less expensive than they are now. I'm trying to keep it under $100. So far, the best I can come up with are these:
Creative Aurvana Live!
Koss DJ100
Sony V6
Shure SRH440
Any comments/suggestions on what would be best from the list above or possible alternatives?
Thanks,
