Lambdas are drastically more colored than the 007...

The Lambdas do have a significantly larger soundstage than the 007, which many people seem to love, so it'd be great if they can improve on the diffuse nature of the Lambda soundstage and make imaging a bit more pinpoint ala the 007 while retaining the large soundstage.

Interresting indeed!
Especially if they have made improvements to the drivers.

Hmm.  I'll be in the Tokyo area the week of Sept 13, but with the weak dollar against the yen these aren't looking too attractive.  I long for the days when the dollar was 110+ yen.  But at the least maybe they'll be at Yodobashi Camera and I can get a listen.

If you are buying from Yodobashi, remember to ask for discount, at least 7% instead of asking for duty free only 5%. If you have local friend who have their member card, can have 10% rebate but only can use it next day and next item purchase.

Like a previous poster I was beginning to wonder which particular amps may work well with the SR 507. Obviously that's something that time will bring to light. Anyways, what might be the possibility of a SRS 5070 system??

Thanks for pointing that out that. It solves a puzzle I have been mulling over for a while about lambdas vs SR-007. Up until now I'd thought that perhaps the (lack of) soundstage was due to my crap amp.

I tried SRM-600 Ltd but too warm for my liking

The Stax SRM-600 Limited maybe? Or one of the aftermarket ones, like the HeadAmp KGBH SE...
