Ed, do me a favor and let me know how the new MP301mk2 sounds when you get it. I am really looking forward to reading more impressions of this amp, especially with Grados.
 
I have been considering a Little Dot 1+, but for the extra $100 or so, I could have a decent integrated for my speakers as well which would be a good deal. And I would love to hear my Infinity's with tubes. Was listening to a Magnepan/Jolida setup this weekend, never heard speakers disappear so well (I know its not the same as my combo would be, but still). The only thing is I am worried how well the MP will sound with Grados becase it is not a hybrid design and the Grados are low impedance which usually mate better with hybrid designs.

I just bought a massive amount of high quality pleather and am in the middle of making my own headband, but I have way more than I know what to do with.

Tandy is a very good and reasonable source for leather.  There IS a minimum order, which may preclude some very small-scale modding, but for larger orders, including group buys, it's one of the best.  Good call!

sharkz-when this amp comes I'll have two and only need the one so if I can strike a deal with this fellow you could roll over here to Allentown and borrow this first version to get an idea if it will drive your stuff. I use mine with Grado's all the time, thats what I've been listening to while making all of these mods So it drives Grado's no problem...when I get the amp, we'll talk...PM me if you have more questions...OK??

Ed, thanks for the offer. I might have to take you up on that eventually. Although Allentown is far, I guess I could swing through there on my way to Philly. I the meantime, I will be reading all the reviews I can find.
 
In other news, I am hoping my driver shows tonight, I will have some time to work on it later. I just sit and look at my SR-60s every night and wish I could be listening to them. I can't wait!

I just picked up a Harmon/Kardon PM665 for 40 bucks at a thrift store, it's an integrated amp from the earlier 80's, it cost around a grand then. This thing sounds amazing with speakers and amazing with my IEMs! I'm itching to get my Grados back from bilavideo so I can give it the real test, haha. My Matrix Cube should be here soon as well! As soon as I get my Grados back, I'm going to have all sorts of fun.

Not a problem like I mentioned earlier you could even borrow the first version if this one tickles my toes!!!!

...I will and I'll slide it in here on this thread,  the first version is the one I used and continue to use to voice these Grado's as I mod them ( sounds more official than it really is ) its the only headphone amp I got!!! I'm so pumped for this new one...the designer took input from folks like me over on the DIY forum and used all those comments when he redesigned this version--thats why the headphone jack is on the front now, and there is a switch to turn the mains off or leave them on when using the headphone jack, also its now got two inputs(yes!!) so I can run my CD player directly into one input instead of using my DAC/Pre-amp which will now be just a DAC(sorta) for my laptop and squeezebox which will go into the second input-did I mention it looks cool!!!

Mine have been in town since about 9 this morning according to the tracking... So annoying that all the mail carriers feel the need to hold things like that!
