it pays to compare the z5 to other iems I am finding. I had the RHA T20 in for review and the effect was I now love my z5 more than ever ..

I love the Z5, I alternate my IEMS and each time its the Z5 turn it amases me how the Z5 improves the music. Remrmber z5 plus amp.

Daniel - I have not used the Pono player but I have used various Daps with the Z5 and I noticed the Z5 improved when I added a amp to it. Have you used an amp with your z5?

Yeah I have the apex glacier dac amp I've used with my z5. Do you need an amp? I am selling the glacier.

I had almost the exact experience you mentioned. Every IEM I have tried just make me love the Z5 more. An IEM you might want to take a look at is the Fujisan by Telos Accoustics it has tuning that is closer to the Z5. While it does not have quite the same sound stage it is a good phone alternative for out and about. It's treble is softer and yet detailed kind of like the Z5 when using the stock tips or can be made a bit more aggressive using UE or Spiral Dot tips but still manages to not have the hard edge that the T20 has. I definitely like its bass more as well it is not quite as hard hitting as the Z5 but has some similarities.

I noticed I missed a rather important NOT in my post so have corrected it accordingly.

Worth every dollar for the A3. Honestly Sony did a great job pricing the A3s. I prefer it to even some much more expensive IEMs.
