[Dangerous]

I've pretty much taken it down to the two headphones. I found the sony's just by searching their site and reading the reviews. And the JVC was suggested to me by a user on this site.
 
My main needs our: good sound quality, portability, and a price range from $50 - $150
 
BTW: there wasn't any review on the sony at this website, so I was wondering what you think of them?

Get those JVC S500s with the carbon nanotubes. There is HUGE thread on them here at head-fi, those sonys looks like silly toys. Though the sonys might sound good, these S500s punches wayyy up there with a proven track record.

You can get these S500s on ebay imported from Jpn for only like ~$60 shipped, which is a crazy nice price.

I bought my HA-S500 from Japan (shipped to California), $76.00 total, shipping took one week.
I do like the sound of the S500 (as a good sounding portable headphone).
 
On eBay, you can get different ear pads for the HA-S500 for around $15.
They are no-name Leather or Velour ear pads, Made in China that are sold for AKG headphones and they also fit the HA-S500.
I think these might be one of them?
