I can only advise reformatting the card from the player itself (not with the computer).

I lent my A45 to a friend for a week, and he had the same issue with his card, which is the same as mine (Samsung Evo Plus 512GB). He didn't took the time to reformat the card directly in the player. My card was formatted directly in the player though.

The same thing was happening with the A55. While my card was working fine, his same card was freezing the player. I even reverted the player to the stock firmware, but the issue was the same.

No, I don't think it was the card. I have used it in the player with that very same music for a long time.
I did however moved the music out, and put it back on a new card and (after creating the database, it did remain stuck for a couple of second as before) and now it is working fine.

I believe if I format the original card and put the music back, all will be fine. There must be some left over from the previous firmware that the new firmware doesn't like.

Anyway, I'm happy now :)

MrWalkman - Mate, time for the FE. :)

To revert to stock from MK II:

For DMP- WM1 MK II we have 2 stock revert files - for ext tuning and
one for DMP- WM1 MK II itself.

Should I only run StockRevert_(DMP-WM1_MK2)?

Yes, using just StockRevert, without the external tuning, is enough.

Yeah, but how you would explain the described situation?

So it's two exact same cards, one formatted in the player directly, one used in an Android smartphone. The one formatted in the player presents no issue, but the other one freezes the player.

That's why my conclusion would be that it's because of the way the cards are formatted somehow.

i have Sony MDR Z1R..i dont need Denon,s....i m a Sony Boy...

best

Sisco

But you’re using Fostex with your Sony. TH900 is way more alike the D9200 than the Z1R (Z1R has a very different signature) and it seems that you like your current combo so there my advice about the Denon. If you like what you’re hearing now then I’m pretty sure you’ll love the D9200 with your 1Z.
Anyway enjoy your 1Z!

Hi folks! Any more comparisons between the Mk II and FE fw? My computer ate my ext_tuning file for the Mk II, so there's no going back for me if I upgrade. I'm using the Elysiums, btw. Thanks!

Just go to "Protection history", where you can restore quarantined files.

Edit: I added a link for DMP-WM1 MK2 at the end of the page for DMP-WM1 FE, but I would recommend giving more listening time to DMP-WM1 FE first, in order to get accustomed to the different sound signature, before deciding that it doesn't sound as good.

"Brain burn-in" is a real thing.

If you like that combo then try Denon AH-D9200 with your 1Z. Stellar clean organic sound
Damn...I want the 9200 so bad, but I just sold my 5200 and the headbands dont contour to my head well. Its the only reason I gave those cans up...the fit. And I feel that the 7200 and 9200 would be a similar experience....smh

Wanna share with you guys, I know it’s a little out of the topic, but I found amazing drummer cover.

OMG can’t even describe this. Check out her other covers. So much passion and power! Put originals to shame! The younger has surpassed the old. Listening to her works will blow your mind

I’m not even a fan of metal. A treat on 1A/Z on FE fw. Sounds even better on IER-Z1R or EE LX. Enjoy!

Thank you! I will give FE a good long listening time, and probably keep it!
