Well,i actually really like it, even managed the volume buttons without taking it out,
Anyhow, therell be options out there im sure.

Its not like any other dap gives you one,
I would have loved a free usb dac cable too..

Have you tried the new Walkman with your HiFi-M8 yet?  I believe the Sony adapter cable you have plus the USB cable included with the M8 should make the connection?

I just try what Jeff recommendation as follow :
Source : sony WM ZX1
Dac / Amp : Centrance Hi Fi M 8
Iem : sony XBA H 3
Cable : USB to USB A wire world ultra violet to hi Fi M
USB to DAC Sony to Sony WM ZX 1

Sound quality
High : more refine and better clarity , it is not harsh at all ,
Cymbals more natural and detail
Mid : more sweet and natural
Bass : better in detail and very clean bass sq , better impact as well
Separation : wth hi Fi M8 improve
Soundstage : more 3 D like you feel in big concert hall

Conculsion : so far excellent synergy between Sony WM ZX1 and Hi Fi M 8 use USB dac function

I have question any one who has got USB WMC-NWH10.
When the cable is connected the vol is changed to "Master (External output)" or not?
Usually, when dock is connected the vol should change to digital out.
But for me doesn't.
(Like no input for DAC)

Its great news that ZX1 works with Centrance M8. I presume this can support up to 24/192.By  the same token, F887 should work with M8 too. good stuff

I've said this before, but please Sony:  release this in the U.S.  That will be the only way I buy.
 
Thanks to all for providing impressions.  I'm getting bored w/ my RWAK100 (after having it since early March, I think).  I used a Sony Walkman cassette player when I was kid, and a Sony Disc Man when I was in graduate school, so I feel like going "back to my roots" with my next DAP purchase.
