Wow!  It's getting increasingly difficult to find any enthusiastic supporters of Sony's S-Master amp technology.

Never tried iphone,maybe its good.

But it may not best zx1 but I shiver to think what would be test values of lower walkmans,even a15,damn.

Would love to see the battery life measurements of using the A15 digital out.

As for those specs, what can the human ear even detect?

By that logic 24 bit audio is ********,even cd quality is wasted as humans have limit of 20 khz.

Whatever it may be,objectively the results are worse for zx1 against iphone.

Subjective listening is another thing.

You get into hi-rez not for 24 bit or DSD but due to much better mastering quality.  And that makes all the difference.

Not everything can be measured really.  I went down the that road before and you better off trusting your ears than every single measurement.  Some time it takes a really resolving transducer to discern the difference.  I'm quite confident that the iPhone 5s will measure better than many topend tube headphone amps out there.  Even Tyll of Innerfidelity admitted to this.

No one is spamming,,this is the first discussion concerning the measurements of zx1,,,,u expect it not to be discussed??

The lack of card readers in Apple products is why I don't use any of my iDevices as a source for music - they just don't have enough storage. There are some Android mobile phones out there that have card readers, though...
