Dressed in new yellow shell. Still useful unit of top portability and pleasing sound.

Small and mighty. I prefer my A45 tho for DSD playback.
It's not David vs Goliath but A17 still more diminutive.

Going with the A35 and above will allow a native DSD playback allowing the walkman to be used as a high quality transport to the DAC without needing computer.
I don't think lack of DSD renders A17 obsolete. DSD is great but selection of available music is limited.
Anyhow, I had used A17 as a transport to send PCM signal to TA-ZH1ES to be upconverted to DSD 11.2mhz to listen to my library of FLACs. Not exactly the same as native DSD but still great and allows to enjoy a broader selection of music.

No doubt, I like the A17 too and I have used it on a transport duty as well. I just preferred the A35/A45 for transport duty because I have many DSD files.I don't think lack of DSD renders A17 obsolete. DSD is great but selection of available music is limited.

Hello everyone. In 2015 I posted in here the last time, since I bought an A17 in Japan. Now the battery is dying…is there a way to have it replaced or replace it myself and does anyone of you know a trustworthy reseller for batteries?

Which one would be the better option to get? A27 or A55?

I have the A15 and the ZX300 (which has the same UI as the A55?). I prefer the A15 for its UI. I don’t like the touch screen controls of the new Walkmans.Which one would be the better option to get? A27 or A55?
I always use file playback. With the A15, while playback,I can browse through the menus, go back to the playback screen, and when I hit back, it will always show the current folder. The ZX300 won’t do that, it just will not show the folder you are currently playing.
