this might be my first DAP.

i'm not sure how to handle selecting IEMs with 4.4mm connector for the balanced output. in fact, i'm just piecing that as the better end of what it can do and seeing what it might cost me.

am i right to think that if i look at the more popular budget balanced IEMs - moondrop aria, tin hifi T2 DLC ? - i would need a replacement cable that's balanced and has a 4.4mm end to it? options?

i'd appreciate any help.

Spend a little more to get the best of these DAPs. get something like THIEAUDIO Oracle MKII. you won't be disappointed

You want balanced then the ZX. I'm expecting other than Walkman App, battery still being weak as same battery size but an even larger screen to power even if chip more efficient.

I thought my A107 via its 3.5mm sounded better than my ZX507 via its 3.5mm but not via the 4.4mm balanced.

As i find the WM1A is a bit underpowered.

Normally i connect WM1A to my ipad/ iphone for loseless streaming via apple music.

Hope that the 707 can elemninate the need for ios device and go straight to apple music by itself
