Hi guys, are there any ways to install purchase apps (like UAPP, Neutron) on Chinese FW ?

Not exactly, at least UAPP depends on the Play Store to verify the purchase.

tidal announced already that they bypass. so using the native tidal app should be fine.

I checked the logcat using the latest version of Tidal and for the ZX500, it is still not bypassing the SRC to either 48 or 192 KHz (using blue mode). UAPP continues to work without SRC (red mode and bit-perfect).

Tidal does work better today on many DAPs, just not for Sony.

Maybe it bypasses it on certain devices, depending on how the backend audio is configured - or maybe it bypasses it only for USB DACs.

good to now.

i will write tidal support in terms of the sony devices.

i have also the fiio m17 and the led colors on the top as well as on the sides matches with the bitrate. i can say that the native tidal app works great with the m17.

Yeah, the Tidal app bypasses SRC on my Hiby R5, R6 2020, FiiO M11 Plus and Shanling M3x just fine (based on the status bar). The Sony DAPs are the exception.

The other DAPs also show MQA decoding, I'm fairly sure the Sony's aren't. I don't see anything in the logcat to confirm (or deny).

Been using the player for about 3months now on and off and it has gotten better over time. I got used to it and it's sound and now know what to expect. Not a firm believer in burn in but you get an idea of what to use this bad boy with and what pairings work best. Battery still trash tho. It's only down fall

So if I read right, i can feed an amp with the 3.5mm headphone jack at full volume high gain, then use the volume on the amp for listening? It won't blow the amp at all? Is it possible to line out via USB c? If these options work, then the 507 is basically just a DAC?

About your first question, there possible but why?

The 3.5mm only uses the fallback POSCAP and also does have worse sound quality in all aspects (Dynamic range, cross talk and so on)

So you do not want to use 3.5mm unless there is no other option.

It's maximum output of the 3.5mm is 65mW, it depends on the amp but that's not that much. It should be able to bear it.

So not a good idea to run balanced into the amp?

It depends on the amp. The balanced output is 200mW@16Ω, that should be no issue for most amps, but not sure.

I'd recommend to just use USB-C to go into the amp
