So based on these settings the curve should look like this? I took the settings as close as possible. The ZX507 only allows increments of 0.5.

Fixed Band EQs

In case of using fixed band (also called graphic) equalizer, apply preamp of -5.1dB (if available) and set gains manually with these parameters.

No fun if you take the shortcut :)

Yes, without actually checking I'd assume it's correct.

The output of the device itself is flat across the audible bandwidth, so all you are trying to do here is adjust the frequency response of the IEMs to match the Harman curve. There will be unit to unit variation due to manufacturing tolerances, etc... but of course these variations will be imperceptible.

Very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,
I would have such a question.
I'm thinking I'm buying this player. certainly not an EU model.
Is there any difference between the EU and Asia box? Long ago Sony player 16GB (EU) 64GB (Asia).
Now each 64GB. In Europe, it is impossible for anyone to sell Asia type?

There's a big difference in sound due to no volume Cap on the Asian versions.

ZX505 (China) is 16GB @ $540 on Joybuy.com. ZX507 64GB @ $730+

Someone else can give you other options where to buy.

Sooo, what's the method to go from Chinese to International when on the latest version? I have an international version ZX507, flashed 4.02 Chinese and now want to go back to international version. Am I stuck until the next update comes out?
You can go from Chinese to International but not the opposite.

I just did this on the latest firmware. Went from Chinese to International and I must say, on the latest firmware, international sounds way better than Chinese. I love the Spacious sound 3D space and resolution (Hi-Gain, Hi-Res streaming off)I set up IER M9 as my IEM profile but in reality, I use the UM MEST and The new Sennheiser IE300. I believe Sony has perfected this DAP soundwise. Hope they finally add DAC mode and BT receive and I'll be set.

Does anyone know if it is possible to rename the two ‘Custom’ EQ settings?

I have Sony Z7M2 and M9 headphones that need very different EQ settings.
No. Just Custom 1 and Custom 2. My suggestion is to rank your headphones in terms of favorites, and set eq accordingly.

I couldn’t figure that out either.. Can the ZX507 be put on a sleep timer, even while playing music? Like a stop playback/power down after a set amount of time?
What I did is go to playback settings, set it to "current selection". I also set the sleep timer at 1hr in general settings. if I don't select another album within an hour, walkman shuts down

There are android audio players with built-in sleep timer. A couple free (no ads) ones from Google Playstore are Musicolet and VLC. With VLC you have to create a playlist and then you can activate a sleep timer on that playlist. If you really want to stay full Sony, then you can download and install a hacked phone version of Sony Music App which has sleep timer function here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ic-9-4-8-a-0-13-updated-9-march-2021.2728110/ . I installed the hacked Sony Music App and tested the sleep timer function, it does work. I did not fully test in conjunction with auto-shutoff though.

Also as @DJ Core already mentioned you also need to go to settings > battery > auto power off and set the auto-shutoff timer there as well.

I find the short battery life does this for me (sorry- couldn’t resist).

What’s annoying is that standard Android does have a feature to allowed scheduled switching on and off. Our version doesn’t.
