Anybody tried using the Sony music center app for android on the ZX507? Does it have direct access to the DAC? I find the UI to be superior than the music app of the ZX507.

Ordered my Benks case from AliExpress last week. Was given a crazy long-lead UK delivery time. Case turned up this morning 🤠

Actually I'm using the unbalanced standard mini jack on the right.
The 3.5mm jack on the right of the ZX507 has two ground connection as shown in this picture (ZX2). It's different from your standard 3.5mm jack.

It is the same as the recent WM1A too, they are the same ground, just different paths. I guess what is going on is that electricity conduct to the path of being most effective, and therefore the different ground paths also effect sound quality. However, it is essentially the same ground. It bothered me a while back with Zx2, but the improved separations and performances is very real and can be observed

Nice! Care to share any close-up pics of front and back? How do you like it?

I don't buy many cases as I prefer the naked look and I'm careful, however, when I saw the Benks case online it instantly drew me in.

This case feels amazing! It's that weird composite materials that almost feels like it is made from velvet.

I also like how I get to keep my 507 blanking plugs safe at home.

Is there a way to adjust the screen-saver timeout? Seems to be about 4 secs which I find a bit short.

For sure. You can set the lock screen like you want to. I disabled it completely. In the security and localization sub menu of your settings so you can remove the lock screen completely or just change it like you want it to be.

If you just want to change the time the device takes to go to the locking screen, it's the the display menu.

My device is set in French so I can't give you the exact names of the menu items, sorry!

Thank-you, but are you talking about the Sony cassette-playing screen-saver? Is this controlled by Android Display settings? I think it's part of the Sony Player App and can only see on or off options.

I have already disabled the Android lock screen.

No, the cassette display is the the Sony player app itself in the parameters of the app.

You can choose the time the device takes to get to the lock screen or main screen if you disabled the lock screen completely.

It's in the display sub menu. Here is a screenshot from my phone, it's the same on the ZX507. You might need to open up the "advanced" settings.

Thanks, but it's this (the cassette display) that I want to change the timing on. I can only see on and off setting in the app.

Sorry i should have made it clearer.

While I think it is cool, I have disabled the cassette screen simply because it comes up way too fast! It seems there is only "on" or "off" with no way to toggle how long it takes for the cassette screen saver to pop up.

I also got the Benks case yesterday. It's a little thicker than I expected and want, but still feels nice.
