Sony don't like people streaming using different site, they want you to purchase music online like mora, if they own site like sportify or tidal, thats a different question.

Received my ZX300 last night. On device music sounds fantastic!

Has anyone had any luck getting the USB DAC on this to work with macOS 10.13? Was it plug and play or did you have to tweak something?

My ZX300 is able to enter DAC mode and it shows the digital volume knob on the screen when I connect the USB cable. My macOS '

Sound' settings also shows 'WALKMAN' as the audio output... but when I play tidal or youtube there is no sound from the DAC.

I don't think there is a differences from the rest of the world apart from the European models having the volume limited.

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some advice.
I own the ZX300 which I love though I currently force myself to burn in together with my new CFA Cascade (38 Ohms) on balanced.
The ZX300 come from Amazon UK so I understand that it is capped. I listen to my music in-between settings 75 (quiet), 85-95 (normal), 105-115 (getting loud).
The capping doesn't bother me much as it avoids me listening to my music too loud.
Are there any legitimate reasons for me to uncap it, i.e. in terms of music quality?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe less volume means less power. This could affecting dynamics, attacks, definition, etc. Better uncap it

Thanks for the tip. It's done. Difference is clearly noticeable, thank you. Got also the high gain setting though at 38 Ohms it's a bit overkill.

I just fell even more in love with my ZX300 :p

Thank you so much :) !!!

The difference is just gigantic—I didn't imaging it'll make such a difference.

Capping seriously should be illegal—they're literally bridling the product. (Does that work in English as well?)

Exactly you now can listen to music at a lower volume but it sounds fuller.
