Yeah, fortunately I live in Japan so I'll be able to demo it with the ZX300 as soon as it's released. I'm not expecting it to be a huge improvement over the current version, but definitely excited to try it out.

Really, the MDR-1A sounded just great to me out of the balanced output, so I'm sure that I will thoroughly enjoy the M2s.
I also plan on getting the 1AM2. Let's hope it is made available in my country.

Actually I am not quite sure if it will even release in April in Asian countries. I only found it on European and US Sony sites.

Well, I hope you're wrong about that. Anyway, I was planning to check out the Spring Headphone Festival in Tokyo, which is at the end of April, and pick them up then. I live about 100k outside of Tokyo so I don't really go there too often.

My Opus#2 gets very warm when kept enclosed in a carry case but my ZX300 hardly changes temperature, even in a carry case and is normally cool is this because it has a different type/grade of capacitor? Like the QP1R (which also got warm) is the Opus using class A components and the Sony doesn't?

It's a class D digital amp in the Sony, it runs really efficient and puts out know heat. As far as I know only Sony uses this tech, everyone else uses class A. Class D kind of used to have a bad rap, but know with the advances and treaking it sounds as good as any other amp and you get the benefits of class D.

I was trying to be all pro and use my camera with macro lens but smartphones are much easier. I gave up and the only shot that was useable is now my avatar pic

Ha ha I've been using my asus tablet and the camera sucks and you can tell by looking at my pics. Why, you say? Because I'm a lazy sonsa bitch  At least you can tell what it is.

What menu do I find the left and right db display in?

Also, is there an individual readout for total usage of both the balanced and SE outputs? I only see a single "overall" usage readout.

Thank you!

If you mean the VU meter, just hit the suitcase icon (options) on the now playing and hit change playback screen to find them and the audio spectrometer. And no it's total playtime so you have to keep track of how many hours on each output and guesstimate

Random question. Originally in the teaser videos and I've noticed a couple of people post on here the analog VU meters on the display? I have the European model, accidentally changed to American *coughs* :) but have never seen them on mine. When I USE as a DAC I get the left and right meters but never found the analog style :frowning2:
Hope that makes sense or someone can shed light on it

I think it's selectable in the menu.
