nice, you just saved me 20 bucks. I'll just buy some cheap one then.i've seen it when I was in Japan, and I don't like it, it looks cheap and makes the ZX300 looks cheap. I've tried many glass protector and PET one's, only PET matt protectors work, any cheap one will do.
My ZX300 with a Matt PET protector, with all Matt PET protector the logo is slightly reduced, but you do get a light outline boarder to it, but doesn't really affect the screen quality.

My spare cheap protector, cost me about USD 2, this was a few months ago, so it will probably be cheaper by now.nice, you just saved me 20 bucks. I'll just buy some cheap one then.
Glass protector don't work on the zx300, I use a cheap Chinese one, cost about USD 2, works perfect, so I got another for spare.
Ya I ordered the 2 dollar one as well, Might be awhile since its Chinese new year

you need to mod the msr7 to make it balanced. it's not hard per se, but not as easy as plugging a new cable. you can see tutorial online for m50x just to see how to mod it.
on the dap side, I've had the cayin and I'm using the zx300 right now. if you don't need streaming and/or dual microsd slot, I recommend the zx300. never heard the cowon though.
Once I saw this video about m50x first time, I decided to mod my MSR7. It is not so difficult and mainly, many players has better output on balanced.

Many thanks about your inputs regarding ZX300, N5II and Cowon P1. It is difficult to find comparison of ZX300 and P1 by personal experience. I guess that single ended of P1 cannot match crosstalk of balanced ZX300 and therefore soundstage of P1 should be lacking in comparison especially on 32 Ohm cans. Finally, I go for ZX300 despite of its USB DAC delay.
I received the remote in the mail today. I'm pressing play/pause button and Vol Down and red and blue lights are flashing. I went into the settings on the ZX300 and turned bluetooth on and all that comes up is other bluetooth enabled devices around my home which are ready to pair, and not the remote. I tried switching the different bluetooth versions from LDAC to aptx to sbc and none of that a made a difference. Tried checking off and then unchecking the NFC, and that didn't make a difference. What am I doing wrong? You need to press both play/pause button and Vol Down until you see red and blue lights flashing. Then it's ready to pair. Everything else is quite simple on the ZX300.

When you go into settings, do you get the three circle logo. The BT on the ZX300 has two parts, one for remote, the other is for speakers and headphone/iem.

When I first go into settings, there are two circles above. The first is for brightness, and the second is for BT headphones/earphones. Huh-oh, does this mean that my unit doesn't pair with the remote? Others on this forum confirmed that it did with the Japanese version, and that's the one I have..When you go into settings, do you get the three circle logo. Looks like you changed to a version that does not support the remote, you need to change it again, try the Tourist version (E)Yes, my version is the Japanese one. With help from people here on this forum, I changed the language to English (using the rockbox tool) when I first received it.
Okay, will give that a try. And I'm assuming the Tourist version offers English as a language?

Using Rockbox to change the region again. So, the only way I can use the remote is if I go back in and change the language setting to Japanese?
