Sony NW-ZX300

Nothing wrong with the stock cavle that comes with the N3AP, but... it's 3.5mm. One of the reasons I bought the ZX300 was the 4.4 balanced out and that's why I need a 4.4 balanced cable.
If you're looking to get a cable because of 4.4, you can purchase the N3BP variant, which comes with a 4.4 balanced cable instead

If you are looking for a decent 4.4 balanced cable, look at ALO for reasonably priced ones that are good . For a step up, get an all silver one from Norne Audio.
Copper gives you smoother highs and a bit more bass. Silver improves bass and treble definition. also giving treble a bit of sparkle and bass more slam.

Thank tou for the tips. However, I'm really looking for something that's available in Europe. Dealing with customs in my country is a horrible experience and it puts a heavy premium on any product.

I got my ALO cables from a stockist that bought a load at CanJam or other trade shows... you should be able to pick some up! I can highly rec ALO.

You probably did all your album art through some program that only finds baseline jpg's. When browsing through google images it's a crapshoot. This was my experience before I mass converted my whole library with TagScanner, since about 1/4 of my album art did not show up.

If it's not a baseline jpg, it will NOT work with Walkmans. The way you transfer files to the unit does not matter in the slightest. Drag and drop, mediago, does not matter.
What do you mean by convert? I just downloaded tagscanner but I'm not sure what to do next...I have jpegs for all of artwork but most won't show up.

Thx

Drag the album to Tagscanner, then click on the 'Edit' tab along the top tabs, then look for the long rectangle box in the options bar under the tabs that may say 'keep' or '600x600' or 'recompress'
Make sure all the tracks in the album are highlighted then click on 'recompress' and that has worked 99.9% of the time for me - let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the tip but I went all in and pulled the trigger on the Sony MUC-M12SB1. Now I'm just missing the XBA-N3AP and I'm set.
If you simply wanted a 4.4mm cable you could have simply bought the XBA-N3BP which includes one in the box, unless you were looking for a better quality cable in which case the M12SB1 you got should suit your needs well

If you have Sony N3AP (like me), I highly recommend you to buy the Mee Audio balanced cable.
I bought that cable on Amazon Italy (99 Euros) and it is amazing. Terminations can be changed/added in order to plug the jack to the following ports:

- 2.5mm balanced
- 3.5mm balanced (through the adapter)
- 4.4mm balanced (through the adapter)
- 3.5mm single ended (through the adapter)

This cable has a very good quality and with the embedded adapters it can be used anywhere without the need to detach the MMCX connectors from the in-ear monitors.
