I also contacted customer support and their excuse was, simply put, that their warehouse was not able to delivery to my country. As you've said, Europe is a no go...

My god the battery on this thing is amazing and continues to impress. Using it in 4.4 balanced mode to drive my Z7M2 and I've yet to see the battery meter go down a notch in the few sessions I've had with it. Todays session was 6 hours on battery power listening to mostly 24/96 FLAC files and the meter still hasn't lost a bar. At night I'm plugging it in and just letting it play all night and day until I get home from work. Sounds a little better every time I pick my headphones back up and put them on gain. Sony wasn't BSing about these capacitors needed some to time to fully mature. I found the DAP a little harsh and metallic or digital sounding before putting the hours on it. It's shaping up nicely.

Please folks I need some advice. ....... I am looking at balanced cables to use with the ZX300. I remember being advised about TRRS. However in TRRS I can only find 2.5mm cables. Whereas I was thinking I would probably buy a 4.4mm plug cable. However the only 4.4mm plug cables that I have found are TRRRS. meaning one more ring than on 2.5mm cables.
Is this right for the Sony ZX300 to use TRRRS? Should I buy one?
I know there are differences in cables too. Being better quality cabling helps with sound quality. That is a mine-field though. I think for now I might just get a regular cable that I found on Amazon, by ****. (Still pricey at £45 though.)

Another one £30.

It should help me decide if I want to read later into quality cables. It should help me to assess the balanced out on the ZX300 too. Hopefully the **** will match the quality of the AKG cable on my AKG N40. (That's hoping for a lot though.)
There is the option of buying a 2.5mm plug cable. Then I would need a 2.5mm to 4.4mm adapter. The only adapter that I found TRRRS at the 4.4mm end. ..... I am thinking that is probably what I will need.

Yeah I carried on looking. It seems the 4.4mm TRRRS is the Sony fitting. I also found the Mee Audio one and am thinking it might be the one I'll buy. Still looking for reviews on it.

I use the adapters that come with the Mee Audio cable all the time they seem to be great quality, no issues at all if it helps. I don't use the cable that much though but the quality seems good, its a little less supple than some of my other cables and from memory I think it had some micro-phonics but certainly not the worst I have heard.

G&V make a cable terminated with 4.4 - about 30 bucks on amazon. I’ve previously used the same one terminated as 2.5 TRRS and I find it pretty decent quality. It fits MMCX.I use the adapters that come with the Mee Audio cable all the time they seem to be great quality, no issues at all if it helps. Just picked up a 300A...coming from a NWZ-A17. I certainly like the beefier audio outputs. A few things I would add is perhaps a double-tap of the screen to wake it up. The EQ not working thru bluetooth was a major disappointment. (It does with the A17). Still learning it...so maybe I'm missing something.

hi guys! so im interested in buying the ZX300 but before i do i have a few questions.
a) can it drive my beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro (250 ohm) properly using the 3.5mm output?
b) how is the sound when compaired to other daps like the A&K SR15 or FiiO X5 Gen 3?
c) are cases hard to find ? amazon ?
Thank you greatfuly for your time i really apriciate it.
PS: i dont own nor do i use IEMs because i dont like inserting things into my ears.

Thank you for the ideas about a balanced cable for ZX300. I am not sure right now if I would have a custom made cable. Before I even looked into expensive cables, I would want to read a lot. I really want some sort of reasonable cable though just to assess balanced out on ZX300. I absolutely think it's worth doing what you can to boost the ZX300 sound.
The AKG N40 is a brilliant mid-value IEM. I suspect its cable is not anything astounding, but I think it must be pretty good. If anyone gets a chance to audition a pair, I think they should.

I received my ZX300 today & wondered if it was possible to remove the volume limiter ? Is there a programme called Rockbox, that i think i've seen mentioned on here ?
