Yes, I know the official case is real leather, I was very anxious for it to be so =) . But the back of the player? Idk, not like it really matters as much, as I was content with rubber anyway.

the more i look at the silver and black, the more I love the silver colourway, always had black everything so makes a change. Also looking to pick up the silver iPhone x, so will go nicely together.

But it's a different black, more in between charcoal and black. So...

I'd rather have textured rubber on the back, as it appears to be. That way when I drop it the unit will bounce back into my hands like a superball.

No seriously I think rubber will wear better and provide better grip.

just wondering, what material or finish is the back, looks quite textured and is not brushed aluminium, is that some sort of matte like paint finish?

It is some sort of textured rubber or PVC. It provides a nice nonslip surface and covers the NFC antenna.

Should i consider buying this, or should i just buy a TRRS cable for my Oppo PM3 / ZX2 combo. ( Something i've been considering doing for a long time....i'd still have to buy a cable for the ZX300, so it's a bit pointless really, buying it ? )

I use the Dita Awesome cable for my CIEM, and they just released a 3.5mm TRRS plug in Japan which I'm planning to buy as well which means everything is covered. It's great.

Oh. Didn't realise there were two types and I've got the one with XBA after the name coming. Will it work with my SE846's mmcx connection and if so why is it nearly twice the price? I picked mine up 2nd hand for ~ £118.

PS I'm not a cable guy but wanted neat cable with 4.4mm connector rather than use converters. Assume the one I have coming uses higher grade cable?
