Thank you all for your feedback on Tidal offline playback, I just got won one on eBay because of it.  It;s a relatively minor problem with DP-x1, but can be annoying, and is a good excuse to try a new DAP

Guys.... I've started copying my albums to DSD ( .dsf ) files ( the sound is unreal on the zx2 and Z1r headphones. However having problems with tags, the zx2 doesn't seem to recognize. Any suggestions?

Edit : Fixed...... using mp3tag running in WINE on Mac...

Yes you can. I have a 200 GB micro sd card installed in my ZX2. You would have to go under the ZX2/Android settings menu and select micro sd card as the default storage device. I believe there is a menu option called storage. Then under the Tidal settings menu it should show up as the storage location for offlline music.

Awesome, thanks! Just got my ZX2 today and I'm simply blown away. I just a bit nervous because I've been reading that they dont plan on updating android OS, and I solely use this for TIDAL. Do you think Tidal will support Android 4.2 for awhile? It would be a shame to have to find another DAP after this.

I just got my NW-ZX2 and it works great.
 
Does anyone know where I can buy a longer (3 foot) cable (WM-PORT from the DAP ====>  the micro USB connection on my Sony PHA-3 amp) ?
 
The cable included with the PHA-3 is only 4 inches (it works but I want to hold the DAC at eye level without the amp.

When I try to switch storage source to my 200gb micro sd card in the tidal app the card doesn't show up as an option. I tried checking the box in the usb storage menu for sd card and it still wont show up. I've also formatted the card in the zx2. Anyone know how to fix this?

Is there a way to search for anything other than "track" in the stock player (like for artist or album)?  I find it hard to believe Sony would make it so you can only search for track, yet have not found a way to do this

I also have a 200GB sd card and TIDAL does not allow it as a selectable option for me.  I just use the onboard 128 for TIDAL and the 200GB for my own music files, but that may not be ideal I realize

Question like that won't get you nowhere,you need to search. We all have different taste if i listen to head banging heavy metal and you listen to orchestra my recommendation is not good for you.

well people have said that zx2 sounded as good as ak240 , so it's probably better sounding than ak100
 
if you can get a zx2 for 500$, i would go with eyes closed i guess

You decided to keep the Athena then and get A TRRS cable for them,are they better then than with stock cable and ZX2?As i recall you werent't very impressed with them coming from NT-6 but what a hasslle,you buy 3 TRRS cables  and then you need to sell them once you get WM1A for 4.4mm balanced cables.That's what i call dedication provided you go that route.
