Can someone please confirm if a case comes with this, and what kind of case? Photos? I read conflicting reports that there is a case, and that there isn't a case.

There is a case but it's one where you have to remove the unit from it to get at the display, some people are buying a flip up case.

I've read a few impressions here so far where it's referenced that the ZX2 has a blacker background than the ZX1. I found the low-level hiss out of the ZX1 to be a big downside, personally. Any idea what the SNR is on the ZX2 or how it compares to other DAPs? I've found the Cowon Plenue P1 so far has a completely black background even with highly sensitive IEMs. The P1 was measured at nearly 120 dB SNR which is class-leading.

There's a genuine leather case that comes with it (and instructions on how to handle it). I have the a15, and I feel that ZX2 sounds better (Vague but I'm lazy to go into the specifics).

I saw that case, and it seems it is a tuck-in case ? I wonder if you can use the remote mic control on it...or how about viber talk ?

I want some impressions on output power compared to the ZX1. Almost considering getting this instead of the PHA-3. Will be hard to afford both!

For the ZX2 though I would plan to use it with IEMS, want the XBA-Z5 but perplexed as to why they have not been announced for Europe yet.

Coming from hm901, tho I still prefer the sound but hate the UI and missing features...
The ZX2 sound is starting to grow on me, after 4th hours of listening.
Definitely no regret.....just love it...

And the slot case is actually very practical to use with all the cut out holes for control..

after 4th hour of listening the battery life is @ 73%

Perhaps he was using his screen a lot. That will certainly drain your battery quick.

Don't have the other daps you mentioned and certainly don't have the necessary test equipment to conduct these measurements. Suffice to say that it doesn't lose out to the ak240 in this respect.

yes the 1st few hrs was spending familiarising the player. the 4 hrs is just for listening which doesnot includes the above.

Sure not the same motherboard as A series, but they use the same thick copper print method on the board.
