Happy to report the 200Gb µSD card is working fine with the ZX2, reported available space being 183Gb...

I am absolutely not doubting what you are saying, but I think the real test is how the card reacts with the ZX2 when you have more than 128 Gigs of music files on the card. If it still works, I think someone should point that out to Sony marketing staff because you are now in AK 240 storage territory.

Every site I have looked at, including Sony says the upper micro sd card limit is 128 gb. As I posted just above, the real test of the 200 gb card will be when using it with more than 128 gb of music stored on it. I think it is fantastic if it works and I'd assume Sony would be revising their advertising materials accordingly. I seriously doubt I'll exceed a total of 256 gb myself but it would be nice to know I could! I'd also point out that you can buy two 128 gb cards for approximately $160 and the 200 gb card is $250. I think it is worth the convenience to have everything on one card but others may think differently.

I already have three 128GB cards with me during travels.  While it is not inconvenient to swap, it is not quick like sticking in and pulling out of cards with a macbook pro.  It also takes a long time for the ZX2 to load and read after insertion of the micro SD.

I'll be able to test this tonight when I get home, and fill it to the brim... FYI with a really full 128Gb card, operations remain fluid with no hiccups.

Thank you!! I think everyone is really curious about this. I'm not an SD card expert but I wonder if the 200 gb card is an "enhanced" 128 gig card that somehow allows for additional compression. I'm way over my head here so I may go visit the Sandisk site and learn more.

Edit--here's a link to Sandisk site with their description:

it's not inconvenience, but too much in's and out's will damage the micro sd socket, these socket are not fool proof and are rather flimsy.

About sandisk, they like to be different, they did have a 6GB micro sdhc, and were the only one to sell it. I'm sure the ZX 2 will support the 200GB, Sony doesn't say it, as the 128GB were the largest micro sd available at the time of write.

I use quarter volume with my westone ES5 and it is already loud at that point .. This is for both Mp3 and 16/44 FLAC files. For DSD it is even lower than that .. I don't think i have even reached 50% volume ever on ZX2. I think it is matter of impedance .. On Um3X i use nearly 40% of the volume . ES5 has 20 ohm impedance and um3x i believe has 32 ohm

PS : Also i was talking about master volume..i have set the media volume to about 80% that allows me to have master volume at 25%.. Not sure how your system was set

Card filled up to about 160 Gb, not a slowdown in sight, and everything shows up perfectly.

Can you show a photo of the cover.

Thanks
