SONY NW-ZX2

Appreciate the fast responses and suggestions. The Garmas looks like a great choice. I've been using a glass protector from Miyavix OverLay for the ZX1 and the kit is pretty basic compared to the Gramas.

The oleophobic coating is excellent and only issue with it is that it leaves a 0.5mm gap around the screen when applied.

Here s where I got mine, as long as it gives good protection, that's what matters to me the most, the extra means nothing to me, and I always use the classic cellotape.

0.5mm along the edge is normal, anything more might produce air gaps and can easily come off..

I have to agree with the main point of this review:
All these daps sound more the same than different and headphones and amps make a bigger difference.
I will stop wasting my money soon i hope:)

Well, when the world record is set, it is not easy to break it :D. Eventually, someone will but it will take a while....and so much efforts :D, even then, don't expect a day-night differences between the records itself

Some information about the LDAC, it's in Japanese.

Those who is also interested, Sony will release a LDAC version of the A17 soon.

Thanks for the new info, but the question I always have would be

LDAC is Sony thing, and say these devices can push 990kbps of data stream, what about the receiver ? Using Bluetooth, does the receiver have the capability to receive all that 990kbps data ? Or will it be lost ?

I tried using Bluetooth from ZX2 to connect to the Lexus bluetooth....and it was "Yuck" i prefer the uses of 3.5mm connection more on the same lexus-zx2

I think the 990kbps is in their future product, right now it's only 330kbps, and the speakers or headset needs to supports it.

LDAC is streaming Hi Res Audio through BT to supported speaker or headphones.

Look like we will have to wait for Sony LDAC capable headphones and IEMS too :D. Sony is pushing it deeper and deeper.

I just got myself the SRS-X5 on impulse after coming across a great deal, and from your link it looks like they'll update the SRS-X5 with LDAC support as well!
Awesome news for me

I only see SRS X55, not X5, I don't understand Japanese so I can't be certain. also I don't think it's software upgradable.

Amazon U.S. is beginning to ship the NW-ZX2 (U.S. version) this week.  I ordered one a couple weeks ago and got an e-mail last night that I'll have it on Wednesday.

Oh crap you're right. The X55 is a newer 2015 model... i'm stuck with the 2014 model without LDAC

I won't be too worried, you probably won't hear the differences that much.
