SONY NW-ZX100

Why would it be dead? I still have my NW-ZX100 and use it a couple times a week while driving from job site to job site. It's a very good DAP with long battery life and is a capable player. One of the features which I like using is the Sense Me channels feature. To me it's a shame that Sony stopped that feature in the newer DAPs. I read that Sony took a survey and found that many people never used the Sense Me feature so removed it.

I still have mine but I have moved on to better DAP namely the zx507, and 1A/1Z not counting Ibasso MAX line.

I also have the ZX507 which is a great sounding DAP.

Now it would be really cool if @MrWalkman 's custom firmware would also work with the ZX100. That would really kick this DAP up a few notches.

Probably not gonna happen...

With the devices after 2016 we were lucky that they're kinda of using the same SoC.

Thanks for the reply. Yep, wasn't expecting or requesting anything, just mentioning that it would be cool if it worked. I totally understand your reply, as you wouldn't want anybody to be disappointed or speculation of something that won't happen. All is good.

there is advantages with nw-zx100 over it's android rivals from the same period, nw-zx100 Ui is unlikely to slow down over time and the battery life is excellent, on the other, android Ui will be slow over time with updates, even sluggish and not so nice to use

I found that my older nwz-a829 has a greater soundstage, also a far better response to amps. Interesting. The nw-zx100 is good though, just thought I might share this. Anyone else with such a comparison?
