nw-zx100 or recent nw-zx300 sucessor was never a flagship and it's presumed that the update version could be NW-ZX40 as part of 40th anniversary, but this is not confirmed

same with flagship, nw-wm1a/z is flagship, sucessor could be nw-wm40 or nw-wm2 as part of 40th anniversary

Hi just confirmed that Region change afected sound on my zx100 so If anyone still owns one of this you may confirm if im wrong or not best one its J region! and I also like MX3 cheers also J enable couple of things a rec buton and a new HEadphone aunder clear phase that sound diferent when enabled.
MX3 ----- Detailed and rumbly low bass with loads of detail Stock FW of my 1A Focus on highs and mid-highs
J -------- Thick very warm and some mid-bass present elegant… is thick, rich & emotive
CN ------ Similar to MX3 but with better resolution slightly more piercing
CA ------ V sound
CEV ---- Elevated highs and more power shallow bass? slightly narrow and difuse highs
E -------- too much V to the point of being harsh in the highs
E2 ------ Cavernous and Loud Forward Sounding
KR------ Very Loud and refined! Slight focus on the mids Has some some midbass... it since as its turns 3.00 closer to 2.00! (not stellar definition to my ears but very good volume) maybe a little recesesed bass.. compared to MX3

I have a 200GB card installed but can anyone confirm if a 512GB card works please? (Is there a limit on the number of tracks this Walkman can read?)

maybe 256gb, i have 128gb sd at the moment, i think as long you physically reduce the photo embedded size to very small ideally 120 x120, but less than 640 x 480, if have massive ones 1200 x 1200 it slows the ui, probably no limit in tracks

Last time I tested this DAP, wasbwith a 400GB card i think and ran smoothly.

Bit question is (in theory maximum is 2TB cards) if the zx100 database is capped or not? I mean here the new NW-A50 walkman db tops out at around 35K songs, the NW-WM1A is said to be capped at 80K songs. Is not a problem for me as I have all my music in native format (no downsampling) in two 1TB micro SD cards, with average of 30K songs per card

how did you kill it? to be honest, getting a used nw-zx100 nowadays is not so hard and relatively cheap

It developed a fault, something inflated insise and the leather back peeled off’ tri d a DIY repair and i hqd the o dispose of it as i killed it on thw process
