From what I heard from a retailer, Sony supplied single digit or even no WM1ZM2 per week. I don’t think the demand is very crazy considering the current economy in the U.S.

There're a bunch of new 1AM2 on ebay between US$1210-1370 including shipping direct from Japan. I got mine within 10 days and there're a bunch of new 1ZM2 available between US$3180-3230. these are old price level before Sony raise their MSRP.

There’s a huge chip shortage globally that is affecting everything electronic as well.

They all do, just not international but I have contacts in Japan that can handle warranty claim for me if I need it. But I have yet to have to send any of the 10s of hifi items back that I bought direct from Japan one way or another. DOA are covered by ebay and seller.

I think Sony has issue on logistics, not on production. In my country, it is easy to get 1AM2/1ZM2 within a week.
