I don't know about percentage but the European version straight out of the box is very under-powered - not enough volume to be able to listen on a noisy commute. The same player set to the US geo has more than enough power to overcome any commuting noise.

I did my home commute today (1 hour on a train) listening to Snowy White on the A35 with Klipsch X11i earphones and was very happy indeed

If anyone is still reading this - I have a 400Gb Sandisk card working flawlessly in the NW-A35
I have a 512GB PNY and a 1TB Sandisk Extreme Plus in 2 separate A35s, works perfectly. Surprisingly fast when cataloging on first power up, even fully loaded with most 24-96 and 24-192 FLAC. Probably about 15GB of standard 16-44 FLAC. No MP3 or other formats.

How many files so you have in your 1TB card? I wonder how many files you can had, before the player struggles to create de database.

I have 10285 files on the card. A lot of it is 24-192 FLAC (I'd forgotten there's some DSD64 also), so not as many files as you'd think. I don't use any MP3 formatted files, so no idea what the limit would be for small files.
