SONY NW-A30 SERIES

I just checked my A845 and it only goes to 16Hz.

Yeah that’s right it was 16Hz which goes a lot further in the bass than the A35. I wonder why Sony limited the lowest bass frequency on the A35 to 60Hz yet on the older Sony DAPs the lowest bass frequency is 16Hz.

Probably a Line-out cable. I'm looking for one myself. I've found a number of different ones:

My experience with stiff & short Line Out cables with my Sandisk Sansa Fuze is that they're a pain. It makes it hard to just rest the player on top of the amp.

How long is it excluding the connectors? How stiff is the cable? Lastly, is the volume fixed / not adjustable when using it?
Unfortunately, I’m not able to find FiiO L5 in India to connect my Walkman with c5. Is there any alternative?

I dont think the L5 cable has been available in India for a long time. You could try the the L27 from Fiio but thats for digital out.

I think this one will work, and fortunately, it’s available: https://www.ebay.in/i/Sony-Walkman-...ne-Amplifier-/281103899579?_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1

One more question, I have ATH M50x and DT990. I use M50x while commuting and with the Walkman, the bass sounds muddied and I have to disable the surrounding sound option, eq on flat, etc. Why is the Walkman sounds so much warm sounding and with M50xs’ sound signature, it becomes almost unbearable to my ears. It’s too much bass that bleeds into the mids. How should I eq my Walkman? DT990 sounds perfect with the Walkman though.

I've been living in a lie.

I bought my A35 around maybe June last year, in Europe. First thing I did was to check if it had EU Volume limitation. The program said it didn't. So I did not proceed any further and left it as it was.

I played my music at around 80, and had 40 more steps to reach max volume, this was much, much more than my previous A16. So I was certain I got lucky and received an EUR Unit without said cap.

A few days ago I just started playing with the device, and checked for any updates on the rockbox software, and just decided to change the region from WEC1 or something, to J, to play around with atrac files, just because.

Boy, did I feel cheated. Now I listen to the same headphones in around 64 to reach previous volume. And the dynamics, boy the dynamics. I've clocked 640h on the player living in a lie.

Anyone has experience like this? I think the LCD screen is dead.
