Hi, I've had my v6 for a while, and i'm very satisfied with its performance. however, i've been having some comfort issues with my ear cartilige pressing against the cloth material in the earpads. This makes a "hot" ear feeling after a while, and I was wondering if there is any mod possible to increase the "depth" of the earcups so that my ears dont press against it?

Get the Beyerdynamic DT 250 pads. They are much more comfortable. The material is softer, it breaths more, and it gives much more space.

Ok, I will try these pads. However, it seems to be the black cloth material on the inside of the cups that are bothering, not the cups themselves. Are these cups thicker than the stock ones, so as to make the cups fit all the way over my ears without touching?

Yes, they are much thicker. Your ears shouldn't be pressed up against the inside cloth, but if they are it won't be pressing as hard.
