Sony MDR-R10 Owner's Club

I won't buy from him.  This guy has been flipping hard to find Sony gears from yahoo auction japan.  Problem is his profit margin is way off the chart.  I think he is legit as I've seen his auction posted in ebay several times before.  It appears that he has just discovered audiogon recently, hence a low feedback.  Due to exchange rate, It is not a wise choice to buy anything off yahoo japan auctions or this guy period.

Oh, I just noticed the carrying case.  That is definitely one of the earlier Sony R10 for sure, likely SN# 300 or less.  Probably a bass light pair.

R10 for auction on a'gon. starting bid is only $7500 and no reserve (best part). :p the seller lists the retail of the R10 at 13,000.

This is the same pair listed on Yahoo Japan. Here.

Thanks for the link.  Funny part is the auction in Japan won't end until 11/30 so technically the headphone is not even his yet, but the flipping process has already began.

I see posts like this (the newest R10 for sale) and it just reminds me how stupid I was for selling my other pair. At the time there was nothing I could have done as I simply could not have afforded $8k worth of the same headphone.

I did the same myself.  I even trade one of my R10 for a SP ES-1.

Yes, I did.  I had it for over two months and it sounded darn fantastic with my HE90.  Unfortunately, I returned the amp b/c the bias was not stable.  I never did get that R10 back b/c he already sold them to someone else.  The refund was in term of cash (albeit, I had to wait for nearly 2.5 months to be paid).

I guess you should consider yourself lucky you got anything back in return.
