@Alu what version of yhe utopia you have?
This is off-topic, but it's the OG.@Alu what version of yhe utopia you have?
Using this one at the moment and lengthy cable is hidden in the lower compartment.Does anyone know of a case that is cushioned and would fit a 2.5m cable with the IER-Z1R?
Wicked, thank you!Using this one at the moment and lengthy cable is hidden in the lower compartment.
Seconding @JerryHead 's opinion on this. Double 4499EX with Class A and the IER Z1R was so good, I almost wanted to get rid of my 707 and get one of those. I love how effortlessly detailed and fluid tracks were. Not to mention that very organic timbre. It is really a good match and it has more than enough power. Just keep the volume levels in checkI just ordered the IER-Z1R and I should get it this Saturday. I'm just getting back into portable audio now since I retired about a year ago. I also ordered a Hiby R6 PRO 2 DAP that should arrive tomorrow. I hope the Hiby can drive the Z1R reasonably well. Any thoughts on this combination?
I just went back to hear this today, specifically the ZX707 vs WM1AM2. Where the 707 feels roomy, the WM1AM2 matches that roominess and adds more depth. With the Z1R, it just feels notes reach deeper and hit just a little bit harder. For my Jpop tracks, there is quite a bit of guitar or electric guitar and I just love how the WM1AM2 is just that tad more palpable that 707.The difference is not Night and Day, but its audible. The WM1 Series has better bass response which resulsts in an warmer (actually more neutral) sound and slightly better treble. So everything sounds a bit bigger and opener. A tad more realistic and authentic. Especially with acoustic instruments, those Instruments have more "body" and sound more 3D.
But again, its not an huge difference, the ZX700 already sounds very good
I have the self imposed limit to never spend more on source than my most expensive transducer, so I guess buying Z1R changed everythingI guess a lot of us who own the ZX707 have the urge to upgrade to the WM1AM2. I have been debating grabbing an used one from Japan since they can usually be found for about 1k or less.
Believe me, now that I have the Z1R, its more of which sources sound good on my Z1R than which IEMs sound good on my WM1ZI have the self imposed limit to never spend more on source than my most expensive transducer, so I guess buying Z1R changed everything
how are you enjoying that new Z1R? I think eventually I'll end up grabbing an M9 too but for now I'm leaning towards grabbing a WM1AM2 first.I have the self imposed limit to never spend more on source than my most expensive transducer, so I guess buying Z1R changed everything
Well I can't speak for others and I don't own the American version, but I can tell you that with my Z1R and Japanese ZX707 I usually listen to music between 60-70 depending on genre and song that has been loud enough for me.I've heard a lot of people in different forums/sites complain the North American ZX707 is way too quite even at 120 volume for the z1r? Anyone have the NA version and z1r can agree?
Interesting, a USA volume cap...IIRC the US model of NW-ZX707 is capped already.
Only thought it was EU that had a volume capIIRC the US model of NW-ZX707 is capped already.
