Oh man...I used to do streaming with NAS (or OpenVPN if outside) but ever since I got a great deal on a 1TB microSD card, I just save everything there and transfer it between devices if needed. Now it just stays with the ZX300.

Thank you. I'm gonna check over that thread then. Honestly, I'm just planning out my future upgrade from ZX300 :)
Maybe later this year or next. Something small like ZX300 but pair with Z1R well is hard to find. I still consider the current flagship that I've seen a bit too big for commute to school and work.

Personal portable rig right now is IER-Z1R (stock 4.4) with CA mesh bag for little protection and ZX300 with a rugged case. I literally just wrap them around the DAP. It sounds quite a bit abusive but I can't stand carrying around a separate case for the DAP and Z1R. I'm still looking for a better way to carry them around together without the bulk though.
The region change and firmware mods are also available for the ZX300 also, I’m pretty sure.

Still waiting on mine!
Hoping to hear some impression lol
Now that I think about it, this might help with preventing my IER-Z1R from getting oily (i have oily skin, gross, don't judge). The micro scratches also hurt my heart a bit.

Yup yup. I reached my 200hrs the other day on J region. A quick test between FE vs Project Z for a few minutes. I ended up with the FE since it sounds more open to me. Perhaps Project Z is a bit too warm? IDK

The ZX300 is a tad bit warmer to begin with, than the 1A, so that could explain things. But truly there is no right or wrong with this, it’s just appealing to personal sound preference.

hmm...I wonder how all the new flagship DAP fare against Sony's A1/Z with custom FW

BTW, anyone got to test the previously mentioned cover yet?
This one

I had those but already threw them in the bin, they feel VERY sticky from day 1, it’s like silicon phone cases after a few months of use with oily hands.

They also made the already large housing bigger.

The ones that work best in your ears. For me it is the Final Audio E followed by the Xlastec, but the Xlastec gets screwed up and deformed after a short time (they on the other hand work great on the XM3)

Yah, +1 on the Final E.

Many people like Xelastec, but I found them to be a bit harsh on my ear canals, and their larger bore size relative to the Z1R left them stuck in my ears on a few occasions...
