Jealous. E earphones is the best place to visit...haha
Those are not new earpieces though^^ they are all used and some of them quite old. When i tested the COMPLY T-200 and Ts-200, they felt like years old :D they get the job done but its a singificant difference to a new pair.

In the store i was "Yeah, they are okay" but when i bought them the new pair felt much better and also sounded much better.

So its cool that you can try the tips, but they are not new sadly.

Yeah they aren't new. I guess for foam it's hard but the silicone tips are good for a listen. But it's fun to also try all the different earphones... I easily spend a day there listening to all three iems and try out daps as well

Last time I was there 5 years ago I only had a ZX300 and XBA-Z5 (with Sprial Dots) - as you can see from my signature my audio realm has expanded so I am going to make maximum use of the opportunity to try different gear and acquire accessories.

I just can't stress how much I love these IEM's, after switching to HD800S for a few months (paired with a decent tube amp) I still come back to the Z1R for the intimacy and the BASS that hits just the right spot. I really don't know if there's anything that's significantly better than the Z1R's, anything else at most is a side grade not an upgrade.

i have a moondrop blessings 2 dusk and like it. Have tried Variations but for some reason liked the dusk better for forward vocals i guess. What should I consider around a $1K usd range as an upgrade?
Wrong forum?

If you manage to get an IER-Z1R for 1k (which is possible used), that is most likely an insane upgrade.

But if you're talking new, that is complicated. Not the IER-Z1R :D

Blessing 2 dusk upgrade with similar tonality and vocals at the best with $1000 price, get Monarch MkIII or MKII (monarch mkII have bad bass quality as TOTL), better get mkIII.

But yeah this is Z1R thread. I prefer Z1R than Monarch 😎

Variations already makes singers sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks or Hatsune Miku depending on their reproductive system so I’d be terrified at something having even more forward vocals.

My Z1R has been revived after some careful repair works. I guess this will be the end of cable rolling for me and buying all these cheap cables from the PRC. I will from here on out stick with my MUC-M12SB1.

Ready to listen to some good tunes and contribute to this forum again!:L3000:

One question to the owners here: The balanced cable is new, never, used, kept in a cool room with no drastic temperature changes.

Why does the cable look like this after a while?
