I bought three of these for my wife, she is nowhere near the audiophile realm, but I want the best for her, even if I'm cheap.
The don't sound bad, but I definitely prefer my MH1s and KZ ZS10 pro X. And by looking the jack, can I safely assume that they are fakes?

101 percent genuine and original

Read up on the new variant MFG in 2019 onwards with a straight jack here:
https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/sony-mh755.23501/reviews

Checking your sticker it reads as Type: AG-0500, MFG in Year 2020 Weeks ?? - 20WKXX

So Guys there is still hope to buy these in the future when they come off the Shenzhen wholesalers unbundled from their Sony mobile phones

Thanks for the info!
The funny thing is that I bought them from Greece. They were not dirt cheap, they cost €9 per item. The seller was selling them labelled as "bulk and original", so I gave them a shot. As I said I prefer my other earphones a little better, but they are surely more than good enough.

Bought a MH1c recently since i found a deal on my local e-commerce platform.
I'm truly impressed. MH1c sounds best when using Final Type E tips (alternative will be Sony EP-EX10 and those stock tips come with MDR-EX15LP) and pair with thick vocal sounding source.

I've been using MH750 for quite some time already since my 1st post in this thread, and i am using the MH750 with driver vent hole mod more than the stock 1 (more bass rumbling haha):

I enjoy both MH1c and MH750 on different type of sources.

You can use these "proper" materials for that mod you did btw.

The 2.5mm size should fit.

(if head-fi screws up the ali links, just manually copy and paste the URL.)

So that driver going quiet.. was dying, and is now dead. Anyone else have drivers fail after a couple of years of use? Both my Mh-750 sets had the left driver die and i'm wondering if i go buy more at elevated prices or look elsewhere for a tiny, sleeping bud replacement. Nothing could replace that bass in this shell size from what i've seen so far.
Unfortunately I can report the same. Right driver was going quieter and quieter, not mute though.. Lucky enough I still have some spares. I agree, the bass of the MH750 is just amazing, perfect in terms of amount and quality to me!

Definitely, N3 is much better in technicalities, fit and build. Tonally it is a bit different, more L shaped and smoother than the harmanish MH755, but once you have heard something better, no point getting a downgrade IMHO.
mh750 is a downgrade in all aspects you mention(+power requirements) except the bass imo. this is the only element of the mh750 I prefer over N3 where I have to occasionally down eq bass to achieve the perfect amount. The smootheness of the N3 is really something else and several levels above the MH750s rougher edges (of which 90% can be eq’ed though)

Good you have some spares. I have some too now (thanks Damz87) :)

I have found some alternatives with since i wrote that. Namely the KZ Linglong and KBear Little Q. Both have slightly terminal issues though.

The Linglongs graph very similar to the mh750 but insane driver flex and pressure that i believe killed my set very quick, the cable is also heavy and being a bullet shape with pressure pushing the housing out of your ear means they fall out a lot. I don't think they quite keep up in clarity and separation either.

The Little Q's PVC cable stiffens up pretty fast and again that makes them fall out if you move around. It also somehow broke the connections in my first set which only lasted a couple of months.

I think the Little Q can keep up with the MH750's, in fact i like them more sometimes as they have a little more mid bass that suits some music better and most of the time i don't notice that they have a little less sub bass response. It's a bummer about the cable as they'd be my ideal otg/sleeping iem. They're tiny and sit inside my ears as well as having good isolation. Planning to have a go at recabling a set with a cable from a fake mh750.

Another bullet set worth mentioning is the Astrotec Vesna. They're technically superior, really good actually, but have a sub bass roll off that makes me sad. They also have pointlessly large shells (the driver is 6mm and the shell is very empty) that i found a little uncomfortable and not isolating very well.
