The record label Ultimae's releases sound amazing on gear:

Solar Fields - Leaving Home (Probably the most profound musical experience I've had)

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Interloper

H.U.V.A Netwrok - Ephemeris

Hol Baumann - Human

I'm not posting any videos because these albums should be listened to in its entirety. Takes you on an amazing journey, if you're up for it.

Waltz for Debbie (take 2) performed by the Bill Evans Trio

This song is all about the mids.. The brushwork on the drums is phenomenal; actually, every aspect of this song is phenomenal.

I really dig that album. I'm going to give it a listen right now, actually. Great suggestion.

Patricia Barber-Smash-My first real introduction to intimate Jazz.  This CD was just released.  It's just her, her piano and a 3 piece band.  Her voice just soars, and the stand-up bass.  You can hear the scratching and slapping of the strings on the wood fretboard like he is standing right next to you.  I can't get enough of this through my HD800's.

You chose well. She's quite an artist. Used to be, in-the-know out-of-town visitors to Chicago would seek out the bar where she performed weekly. Don't know if she still does that (at the Green Mill Tavern)...

I came across the song G-Sting by SALM (Something A La Mode) on my Electronica playlist on Pandora and I feel in love with the song. Its a very interesting song with a good beat and surprising detail . It also hits every part of the frequency range with some real deep lows. Its kinda like a modern take on Classical Music pretty cool stuff!

I know black metal isn't for everyone, but this track has some great instrumentals that really shine with the HD650s
