Hard to find better sound design in electronic music than Autechre and Quaristice makes my headphones go WOW from beginning to end!
 

Yes! Quaristice and also Exai sounds really good on headphones. Other artists/albums I'd recommend, in the similarish style, which has great sound design: Amon Tobin - ISAM / The Foley Room, Alva Noto - Univrs and Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto - Summvs.

ISAM is a great one: a tour de force of electronic sound design, full of textural ingenuity - right up there with Quaristice, Draft 7.30 and Exai imo. I was lucky enough to catch Amon Tobin touring ISAM a couple of years ago.

Imaginareum by Nightwish sounds amazing on my HD800's. The tonality of the instruments is perfect and the sense of space is great. Probably the best recording in my whole library to listen to with these headphones.
