Heya fellas

Bought a new set of SRH840.
Now, I am looking forward to buy an amplifier.
I like Indian Music,Psychedelic Trance,All kinds of Rock,Metal,Hip-Hop and whatever i like

My Budget is $300 maximum.

Q.Why do i need an Amp/DAC ?
A.I want a large/wider soundstage/imaging/transparency and better bass.

According to my research, i found out that D4 (not to forget swappable opamps) it can shine

Is D10 enough to drive the shure's to their full potential ?

OR

Do i really need a Desktop Amp/DAC ?
If yes, then,
Please give me some suggestions. I can go for separate amp and DAC but both within $300. Or Amp+DAC Combo.

I think with the 840's the impedence isn't so high that you need a desktop amp. a portable amp should be able to power it fine. i'm getting a set of 840's as well and am thinking about getting the Arrow amp.

I've used my D4 with Topkit with my friend's Shure SRH840 and they definitely are able to drive them to their full potential.
