Thinking about pulling the trigger on either the Shure SRH750s or the Audio Technica ATH-M50s.  Wondering if prices have changed recently because most posts seem to indicate a negligible difference, but right now the Shures seem to have a nice price advantage, which makes me lean toward them.  Are the M50s worth ~$50 more?

The Shure SRH740 DJ's are bassy, like a lot of DJ headphones. If you're looking for that, go for it. The M50 is a bit less bassy, but still very capable of bass, it's otherwise a more flat response headphone, like a monitor should be.
 
Overall, I'd say try the SRH750's. If you don't like them, I'll trade ya my M50's for them.

I've heard the M50s and although they sound good, they were a bit dark for me (that's cause I'm used to the brightness of Shure cans...). Haven't tested the 750s though. But there you have more information to soak on.

Thanks a bunch! I think I'll get the Shures then, hopefully they will be a good complement for my AD700s.
