What I was trying to say is that it is up to you to decide which is better. Because at this price point, it isn't so clear cut which is better. For me, I personally feel that for electronic the 846 is better as the sibliance on the IE800 is unbearable for me but your mileage may vary.

846, I guess it has 8 drivers in total, 4 drivers per earbud and 6 is just a digit upgrade than 5. so you get 846! 8 is also an infinite loop!

I wouldn't say so? When I tried them their instrument separation wasn't as good as say, the stax sr009

Well IEMs and full size cans each have their pros and cons. One of IEMs greatest things is portability/convenience. Sure the 009.HD900,TH600/900 might be better but r u going to lug them around with you when out?

No, apples to oranges.... and while there are some IEM with a wider soundstage, superb transparency etc that would make one feel more "headphonesique" but SE846 imho does not set out to try sounding like a fullsize.

Ok, somebody tell me, Shure stated that the low-pass filter made it a true subwoofer... does that mean it can match up to the dynamic drivers??? I mean in terms of bass only...
