The list price is $4K I believe. I assume that $3K is where they will be though. It will be hard enough to sell any quantity at $3K. At $4K they probably won't sell at all. Just my guess.

I haven't been following this thread religiously since these aren't out in the world yet, but I think that the only list price I have seen mentioned is $3k.

You might be right. I can't find any reference (didn't look long), but I thought for sure I heard that $3K was the pre-order price.

3k will be the list price. Earphone Solutions always put a moronic list price to make you think you are making a great deal. Like the 846 initially listed at 1.2k.

yeah, that's what confused me... really only wish this dac/amp had a built in player and flash would push me over the edge.  Hate carrying a 'connected' setup, just cumbersome.

Yeah I'm guessing since this is groundbreaking tech that noone else is touching just yet (as far as we know), Shure will stick to this price point for now. The only thing that could get the price down would be very slow sales. Something tells me that's not going to be a problem here.

What it will come down to is performance. If its the best thing out there, it will maintain its high price. If there are better sounding IEMs for less, it will come down.
