The EJ09 with the options for faceplates and up grades are gonna get my cash eventually. I love the faceplate style thats exactly like the conductor and somehow someway I’ll get these babies!!

I felt the same, fingers on the trigger! My contact told me last night that those who listened during the SZ Audio Show recently that EJ09 sounded way better than z1r!!! (Holding my beer just for the time being...)

For now I’m holding back, waiting for more feedback from folks here and hopefully @fjlabs got his on around Sat! Just from FR angle, it’s definitely an upgrade to EJ07 - a lot more energy in treble and bass looks great too (although mids does not seem as smooth as 07)

At least this is not (yet) Traillii $$$ territory as this is about as much I can logically agree to spend on

The zero sevens just keep amazing me and I enjoy listening to all the other Shuoers I have, they know how to tune well in my opinion. If anybody sees any reviews post the link in this thread so we can start drooling or bumming out! LOLOLOL

That FR is def not for me. I'll be sitting the 09 out.

On the other hand I did just buy a cheap ER4XR.

I wish I could convince Shuoer to follow the EJ07s tuning with the 09. At this point just call it something else. My fear is people will think they are getting a better 07.. which this is just different.

You got yours already? I’m still mulling over it... re: FR, this is from their CS guy (not sure if we are talking to the same or several different folks).

Did you go stock or CIEM? I was told apparently in CIEM FR might differ ever so slightly? Not sure if such is true or you might get an improved tuning. They told me as long as I can cover postage, they’d happy to reasonably re-adj FR for 09, so this basically pushes me closer to pulling the trigger. Waiting for your (and any others) feedback first

Nah, the FR i posted was my specific set's FR. I posted the pic a few replies back! They individually measure every set they make and store the FR graph.

It's the CIEM so they might, as you say, have a bit of a different tuning. Who knows. Unless someone were to get/loan me a universal to play around with too

Was told it was going to be shipped yesterday! I'm assuming they did ship it. Hopefully will get it by Sunday, if not Monday. Looking forward to playing around with that new cable. I know I was going to flame them for the plastic connectors, but I'm starting to reconsider and actually like it from the pictures.

that new 5khz bump seems to be the beginning of the implementation for this Sonion driver I am guessing.

Was that the only hundreds of dollars change? Or is it that much more difficult to integrate it.

Good call - no idea... apparently sonion drivers included are 4-EST(per side) for treble, 1-BA for low mids; it’s Knowles for mid high/high?

The EJ09 has 5 Est’s, 3BA’s, 1 Dynamic. Per literature posted on HifiGo “latest EJ09 features a premium 9 driver hybrid setup(5EST+3BA+1DD) on both sides.”
This should sound much differently I’m guessing, gobs of detail without being too clinical, musical I’m thinking as they mention that aspect. The Bass..”oh that bass” all my Shuoers have excellent bass.
Can’t wait for folks impressions!

Apparently this is commonly incorrect info on the 09's. It's a 4x Sonion Electret, 4x BA (3x Knowles, 1x Sonion), 1 10mm nanotube DD (same driver as 07).
