Just came back for a bit to sell my dynamic rig and get into electrostats

I'm loving my new STAX rig. It's absolutely perfect and the level of control and speed is mind-boggling (And it honestly seems to have more impact than my previous SA5k rig). However, all of my bass heavy songs sound HORRIBLE (Sounds incredibly bloated, muddy, and almost like someone EQ'd the bottom end by several dBs). Other than this issue, I think I found my perfect headphones

Now I just need to upgrade my source...

It's not a very complicated stand compared to the others that swt61 has done, but I'm still impressed with it. He does truly amazing work and I really recommend him to those looking for custom stands.

phergus_25: great work on the headphone stand! How many hours did you put into it? It seems like it took alot of work to sand and coat the week. Looks really classy!

not sure as I like the design, but the wood choice is amazing.

I ended up just buying a Coffee mug holder someone recommended from Wal-Mart. $3 dollars, could technically hold 6 pairs of headphones (realistically 4), and it also is good for wound up cords.

I might paint it though, its a typical light wood color and I think it would look much better black.
