If you buy on Aliexpress, you warranty will be only with the Aliexpress seller. https://en.shanling.com/category/256

But of course I can give you some advice or troubleshooting on the MW200.

Anytime you connect MW200, you need to turn it on (even if it was turned on before) and once you start playing music, it should switch into USB DAC mode.
But if you are connecting to USB-C port, we got some reports that MW200 doesn't work with USB-C ports, if you use certain USB-C to USB-C cables.

Shanling controller app only works via Bluetooth.
I tried switch on multiple time and it works only very few time. Are you able to add control over USB C where we can manually change beside auto logic?

Also can USB C to 3.5mm connector work? For example connect USB C end to MW200 and 3.5mm end to my phone.

Our Shanling Controller app is only made to allow adjustments overs Bluetooth. We have no plans to implement USB control into it.

There is no way how to use MW200 with analog source, you can not use it with 3.5mm - USB-C cable.

Since analog is out of the question (only Sony WI-1000XM2 has this), can you get the lab to enhance the MW200 USB C connectivity. I read from Baidu people said it works and thus bought the MW200. Hope you team can make the USB C more robust and reliable for digital output.

When using as a wired DAC, will the Bluetooth be in off mode therefore battery will last much longer?

When you are using it as USB DAC, battery is always charging.

Just got mine, Impressed with the sound quality, but I have 3 issues:
1) I simply cannot get the iPhone shanling controller app to work, it does connect but doesn't control anything, tried tweaking the equalizer and the channel balance, nothing happened.
2) While using LDAC with Tidal Masters through my shanling m6 DAP, there was an incredible amount of stutter and connectivity drop, couldn't use it. Worked fine with "HiFi" but with masters it simply gives up.
3) the Bluetooth range is quite disappointing, especially compared to airpods pro or sony xm3. Could barely go beyond 10ft. is this a firmware issue? because as a dedicated Bluetooth device I was expecting much better performance out of the Bluetooth chip.

On the positive side, this is the best sound quality I've gotten out of any Bluetooth device yet (and I've tried quite a few). Comes very close to actual wired sound on LDAC. Rich texture, deep bass, and controlled highs. neutral sound signature and lots of detail. easily powers all my MMCX iem's without issue.

1) Did you manage to get it working with the app on Android? Does the app on your iphone correctly shows MW200 and firmware version?

2) If you run it with local stored 24-98 file, does it show same issue? Might be something due to MQA unfolding in Tidal.

3) This is with LDAC and M6 or AAC and your iPhone?

And please make sure that you have latest firmware installed: https://en.shanling.com/download/72

1) App is working fine on Android (Shanling M6) can control everything. iPhone shows correctly MW200 Connected but cannot control anything from iPhone, tried to change all settings on the app, no difference, Firmware version is currently running on the latest version 1.3.2.

2) I am trying with LDAC and M6, iPhone AAC works fine without interruption. Local FLAC files are working fine with Bluetooth LDAC and M6. But Tidal is very choppy with Master Quality and LDAC Streaming. Tidal Master works fine with Bluetooth streaming on all my other Bluetooth devices including Sony WH-1000XM3 (LDAC) and Sony WF-1000XM3 (APT-X HD) with my M6 DAP. So I was expecting that Shanling MW200 would have better synergy and better connection. And it also points to the fact that it's not a Tidal App issue as LDAC/Master is working fine with Sony with same M6. (Edit : Just tried again to make sure, same song same tidal app everything, connected MW200 with M6 on LDAC and it was extremely choppy, unlistenable. Then paused song and connected WH-1000XM3 and resumed song same LDAC, working absolutely fine).

3) This issue is with M6, I just tried again, the signal starts dropping at barely 4 Meters. I can walk around my whole floor with Airpods/Beats/Sony. this is the least range I have ever experienced with any Bluetooth device.

Would the mw200 be able to drive planar iems effectively? Planning to get this or the utws3 for my Tri i3...

Output power of MW200 is 26mw at 32 Ohms.

You can consult manufacturer of these IEMs if it's enough or not.

You know what? I actually am amazed that I'm only one of the few who noticed that this has a DAC function via USB. Totally loving the MW200, great necklace for me when I'm doing sports

and to make sure and answer what it can drive, I have paired it with some big bos in my review :)

I have the MW200 and I pair it with my Pinnacle P1. It is a beast! Wonderful sounding. It brings out the best in my P1s. Call quality is great too. Yes, it has some quirks and I am waiting for a firmware update to smooth out the issues. I also wish they provided better directions in the packaging. I had to do a bit of research to figure out settings in the controlling app. All-in-all, I don't have much to complain about. I use it all day long with about 80% juice left.

My only issue was that I lost the mmcx spacers. They only sent one packet of them and they are so small, they are easy to lose. They don't sell the spacers yet, and I cannot find any place that sells them. I have looked.

Update: The MW200 is wonderfully reliable. Lasts all day long. Found my spacers too. There are still some functional issues. If I answer a phone call from my phone, it won't transfer to my MW200. Hooking up to my computer and my phone, during a phone call, it would disconnect and reconnect from the computer over and over again. Sometimes, it won't connect to the computer at all. If I walk away from the bluetooth source and get back into range, sometimes, I cannot reengage the music. Little refinements like those would be solved by a firmware update.

Don't get me wrong, the MW200 is a great piece of hardware. I am grateful I bought it. I was just spoiled by the Meelectronics BTX2.
