IDK after the new update the player cuts off the first 1/4 second of every song...any one else experience this?
No.

After installing the new firmware, version 1.69, it seems to me that the M8 began to sound even better than before, especially at high frequencies, more detailed and clear. Now I'm wondering if I should sell my M8.
Please write your impressions.

Why would you want to sell it if it sounds even better now? Upgrade?

Also 'considered' selling the m8, but what would I replace it with that would sound better and wouldn't cost significantly more.

because I have another DAP, FiiO M17, which is more suitable for home use. So I decided to sell the M8 as I don't listen to music outside.
But now I'm not sure if it's worth selling the M8, because I really like the sound of the M8, it sounds different than the M17

For the amount of money you can get should you sell, I'd say keep it. I don't think there's a better sounding dap on the market for the used price.

Since the update, Apple Music has been buggy (slow to load, occasionally playing song, but no sound coming out). Qobuz is fine, so I know it's not the headphones, cable, or M8. I just deleted all of my Qobuz downloaded music to switch to Apple downloads for offline play (quicker downloads, smaller file size). I really hope a new update of AM fixes this.
