Yeah, that is not normal. I just tried that on my unit (not refurb) and mine is very precise, goes up and down 1 at a time precisely based on the number of clicks.
Im hoping either Linsoul will replace my unit with a brand new one at this point, or that Shanling will do it. If Shanling is refurbishing these and they’re being sold as functioning then maybe it’s on them.
I love my M0, I have the official leather M5s case which is great and aside from the non-functioning wheel the m5s is also great. I think Shanlings products are a notch above many other Chifi companies so I’m just hoping I can get this worked out.
@Shanling After swapping my unit I got another one and it has the same problem as the first unit, maybe even worse. See this video:
Is this what all refurbished units have? I’m extremely annoyed as I’ve now paid for return shipping to China of the first unit, waited a week and now my replacement unit is even worse.
I'm about at the end of my rope with this model After two faulty refurb units I paid extra for a brand new one. Aside from some weird clicking noises it makes on bootup, which sound like the screen flicking on or something, I've had the unit freeze or not play tracks when pressing play multiple times. Reboots always fix it. More worrying is that I've heard several songs do weird digital glitches, which I've tried to replicate by rewinding the song back but they're clearly not part of the audio files. I don't know if the unit is hiccuping or what but it's annoying the heck out of me. @Shanling
rbf1138 Very strange to hear all of it.. my unit (new, factory sealed) came with old 1.3 firmware and has no one of this troubles which you describe. All works like swiss-made clocks.

That clicking noise is normal, I don't remember of top of my head what it relates to, but it is not screen. I did not experience any other issues while I had the unit, but had issues with cover art not showing and the EQ was mediocre at best. One would expect more from flagman from the company (at the time of its release).

Hi Shanling. Thank you so much for the updates! I have run into a usage issue and already posted my question though your Facebook account. However, I am going to repost it here just in case some users in this forum might have run into the same usage scenario as mine.
I have a Favorite folder at the root level. I have added multiple music folders inside this Favorite folder. I am not finding a way to tell my M5s to play all the contents under this Favorite folder. It seems the Shanling OS does not have a play option for this usage scenario where I want it to play all music files inside the various folders under this Favorite folder. Can you please help?
Structurally, here is the outline of the folder structure:
Favorites
