The same deal with M5s and Solaris/balanced, quiet during the playback, and very mild "waterfall" low level hissing during playback with volume down to zero (a touch higher than Andro). And you guys/gals know, this down to zero volume during playback test is not a realistic hissing test, but I don't have a better way. We all have a different level of hearing and different ear sensitivity, so obviously it's very subjective.

Anyone have a comment about the noise floor on sensitive IEMs yet? Any hiss or noise?

From our measurements(and my very sensitive ears), it has tiny bit more hiss than dead quiet M0, but significantly less than any other previous Shanling player.

Click on the left icon in upper right, that will let you choose files and delete them. Currently we sell no screen protectors for M0 or M5s.

Why do you need my initial impressions when you already bought it? As long as you are enjoying it, never doubt yourself and never give in to buyers remorse And, I think it's quite a noticeable step up from M3s. actually more like the best of M3s and M0. Everything is improved and perfected, down to a leather case. But I still wish too see future Shanling DAP release with internal storage, maybe in M6s or M7s?

Why? Because I am just curious how the M5s compare to the other flagship DAPs while its price is very best, very "reasonable" I have tried the Cowon Plenue V, Fiio M9, Sony A 55, even the new Sony ZX300 ... and I like the M5s best. But I have not tried the other flagship DAP yet

You need to delete files from playlist in playlist menu, not on now playing screen.

@twister6 Oh, internal storage can be done quite easily, just need to conduct some huge survey which size makes sense and explain to customers why is suddenly player $100+ more expensive. Honestly, it makes no sense.Just buy bigger card instead.

To me the "internal storage" doesn't make sense too! I wish you should make the animation UI effect for volume adjustment at least like the M3s.
