Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player

So I’ve had this issue for awhile where for some reason there’s a block of music folders I put on the sd card that don’t show up when scanning and when looking on my computer on the M3x. However, when the card is put on other daps those files are there and in the music apps (Hiby and uapp). It’s like missing 4K songs. I’ve reset the device but the same thing happens. Anyone have any clue what to do?
Did you tried to out the files into some newly created folders, if they show up?

I think if if I transfer them again it may work but I don’t remember all of the folders. I’m going to switch as cards and see if I scan a different one all the folders show up

So I switched SD cards because I have identical music on both of them and that seemed to work. It was something with the other SD card that was causing the player not to scan all the music. Strange.

Hello everyone, consult, a few months ago I had to change my shanling m3x because it turned off out of nowhere and did not turn on again, now I have not had problems but I want to ask if you know of any way to enter shanling with the player off, for For example, the hiby r5 will know if it has it to be able to return to the factory state and clear the player's cache is done with two keys pressing them, does anyone know if shanling has that option? Greetings.

I installed Poweramp on my M3X and scanned my music library. All 17,000+ songs scanned fine. Now I’m getting no audio and the top says “384KHz” even if I’m playing a 16bit/44.1 ALAC file. Anyone know how to fix? 63DCC704-4728-444F-8A42-9EFEBDFA68D5.jpeg

I'll assume you tried a reboot just in case another player has control of the audio stack. Do other players work?

Yeah, I had tried a reboot. I actually figured out the answer to my problem. In audio settings I had to go to Output, then Hi-Res Output and switch it on for "Wired Headset/Aux." Everything is working as it should be now.

You can try it through accessing Android recovery menu:

1. Turn off player.

2. Hold down volume wheel and top left button at the same time, hold until screen lights up.

3. Now you entered Android Recovery menu. Use volume wheel up/down to go through menu and press volume wheel to confirm. Wipe data/Factory reset option can be found in the middle.

Poweramp often has these issues, it often default to lots of its own resampling and output settings. I do not recommend it much due to this.

THANKS!!!!!!!

It's safe. But as any other device, it''s not ideal for its battery to keep it on charger at all times. Applies to M3X as to any other smartphone.

Hi there!

I've had my shanling M3X for about a week now and have been having pretty constant trouble with third party music apps that I cannot seem to find the solution to.

So far the only music app that I can get to actually just WORK is the built in shanling app. Every other app has a bad tendency to hitch and stop playing during tracks, or just fail to load the next track in an album or playlist. Tidal, Amazon music, Spotify, and Hiby music all suffer from this. This occurs whether online, or downloaded and offline.

The problem is exacerbated when I have the music downloaded to an SD card, In which case the music often simply will not load until I pull the device out of my pocket and close the app and reopen it. However the problem persists even when streaming or downloaded to internal storage.

It seems to be random in frequency. Sometimes I can go ten tracks just fine and then it will begin pausing, failing to load, and outright crashing.

This is a large bummer, as I have a very small collection of digital music and planned to heavily rely on this devices ability to download tidal tracks.

As it stands I've just spent 330 dollars for a replacement for my btr5 and have ended up using it in the same manner.

If anyone has any solution to this problem it would unbelievably appreciated.
