Same here. As I noted yesterday, to get the same volume out of a far more expensive and higher power DAP, iv had to almost double the volume over the M3X. I don't know what wizardry Shanling pulled off with this thing but it's power output or at least perceived power output is way above its stated numbers. It likely has to do with the amplification circuit being part of the DAC chips. This is how they get this to out out more than decent power power with good battery conservation. Based on the M3X I think ill pick up the M6 Pro 21. It should be a winner.

Having both on the same chip gives the shortest possible signal path which helps and fewer chips means less power lost to heat as well. I would love it if this design became the norm as it has clear benefits for sure having both the DAC and Amp on the same chip and it also provides a lower noise floor and MQA unfolding on board as a bonus with the ESS9219 chip. When I compared my Fiio M9 (separate chips) with my Q1 I found listening to both at 60% volume level the Q1 was noticeably louder than the M9 despite having a lower power output rating.

Shanling is an audio company first and foremost so they really know how to get the hardware and tuning just right. I played the market with other DAP manufacturers but I am a die hard Shanling fan now.

@Shanling In the Google Store connection activity, it seems that the M3X is tagged as a "freetel samurai rei 2". Is it possible to improve this? I mean... changing such name to "Shanling M3X" in a next update? Thank you.
My m6 pro was the same

I caved an ordered one of these. It will kinda replace my Hiby r3pro saber which I’m still keeping but I couldn’t pass up that battery life and a new toy. I hope it’s a good match with my UM Mest MK2

I'm sure you'll be more than happy with it. I've been cross comparing my My M3X against my Lotoo PAW 6000 all week and I was excited to receive the Lotoo. But having listened back to back with these two, I just cant justify keeping the P6K. This little M3X throws plenty of clean, black power at everything I've used it with including some failrly power hungry planars and magnetostatics. it's a 1/4 the price of the Lotoo and in my opinion is a better DAP.

All of them haha…may try and sell the original R6. I still like the DX160s sound but the battery and WiFi stinks, so I’ll be using the new m3x instead of that.

Guys what charger do you guys use with M3X? I use a 5V/2A charger. Sometimes it increases battery in seconds, like just connected 56% after 20 seconds whoosh 66% xD. But it slows down after that.
