Hi all,

Is there an armband for the gym the m3s fits in?

Tiy

We didn't produce arm band for M3s, I would advice to look for some universal armband for phones.

Hello,

Could someone please shed some light? @Shanling?

Would the M3S be adequate to feed a tube amp ?
Shanling M3S <balanced out> - - - - - - <balanced in>TubeAmp

Thanks for your help

Yes, you can use this connection, nothing prevents it.

M3s doesn't have dedicated line out circuit, so internal amp stage would be still part of your audio chain.

Thanks a bunch - I think I already found one. A member of this board advised me on which one fits well with the M3s.

Hi,
Thanks for your input.
I've also started looking for another approach, like a standalone DAC to feed the tube amp.

Then your M3s could serve nicely as USB transport for your DAC :)

I have a problem with my M3s,l dropped it and now the push/select function on the volume dial isn’t working properly,it’s ultra sensitive and selects even when you just turn the dial.
I realise I won’t be able to get this repaired under warranty as I’m not the original owner(bought used here on the forums)But is there anywhere in the UK where I can get it repaired? Thanks.

You can try to email Hifi headphones UK, they are our dealer / distributor in UK, ask if they don't have any spare wheel.

Hi there, was having problem installing M3s Windows 7 USB driver.
anyone faced this before? thanks!
I too am having the exact same issue when attempting to install the USB driver in Windows 10 (it says "error launching installer"). I've tried both the driver for the M3s and the M2s. Can anyone offer advice?

The reason I'm trying to install the USB driver is because, when using the Shanling M3s in USB DAC mode connected to my PC, I'm getting little pop and click noises during playback; this is mostly noticeable during quieter/less dynamic passages. This issue does not occur when using the M3s as a DAP, so I am hoping the USB driver will fix it. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using JRiver Media Center as my music player if that matters. I'd really like to pair this with my desktop amp and use it as a USB DAC, but the pop noise is preventing me from fully enjoying my music. Any advice you can offer is much appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you! The good news is I was able to install the driver. The bad news is I am still getting the pops and clicks (like a quiet little static pop) when listening to music. I currently have the DAC set to USB DAC mode and Line Out. I do not have this issue when using it as a DAP. My portable amp is the FIIO A5. Any thoughts to help get rid of the popping?

Firstly try if you are getting some problem even when using headphone out directly or if it's problem of the line out.

Otherwise, pops and clicks can be many things in setting of your computer, hard to pintpoint.

Thanks. The issue doesn't happen when using the device as a DAP with the headphone out directly. It also doesn't happen in Line Out mode paired with my portable FIIO A5. It only happens when connecting the M3s to my computer(s) when in USB DAC mode. I then use iTunes or JRiver to play music. The problem is not my computer because it happens on my PC, MacBook Pro and Surface Pro. If I use my JDS EL DAC it also doesn't happen, so it's specifically something with the M3s.

I'd like to use the M3s as a secondary system with one of my laptops, but the popping is causing concern and interrupting the music. What else can I do to resolve this? Thanks so much for your help and speedy responses - this is great customer service!

Do the pops start immediately or after some time, are they randomly or at interval, start of song, etc?

With JRiver, are you using Wasapi/Asio?

You can try to play around with settings in Shanling audio control panel.

Good morning. The issue occurs whether using ASIO or Wasapi in JRiver and happens after a couple songs have already played; the first couple songs are fine, then it starts happening and is immediately noticeable during quieter passages. After that it permanently remains an issue. The problem isn't limited to JRiver, as it also happens in iTunes. I've played around with the settings in the Shanling Audio control panel, but changing between 16, 24 and 32-bit made no difference. I have ASIO Buffer set to Auto and USB Streaming set to Safe. This won't assist when using my Macbook though, as OS X is a driver-less system and I cannot install the Shanling Audio control panel on the Mac.

Has anyone else's M3s exhibited this issue? I can't be the only one using it as a USB DAC.
